After seven years in business, we have become one of the largest After The Event Insurance (ATE Insurance) suppliers in the country, supplying over 15% of all ATE Insurance policies.

Since creating Box Legal in 2004, we have grown and developed on the back of some core (and let's face it, pretty basic) beliefs:

• Treat policy holders fairly
• Answer the telephone quickly
• Let solicitors decide if a case has prospects of success or not - they are best placed to do so.
• Respond to emails within an hour
• Get rid of reporting
• Make applying for After the Event Insurance easy (i.e. no long forms)
• Keep ATE Insurance premiums as low as possible

We learnt most of these from our time running the Personal Injury Department at Kingsford Stacey Blackwell and they still hold good today.

When we first started out, we were initially taken a little by surprise at the great response we received. We hadn't fully appreciated at the time how bad things were for solicitors seeking After The Event Insurance cover.

In the early days, we placed some adverts in the Law Society Gazette and the response was almost overwhelming. We were booking three meetings a day with new firms wanting to join our ATE Insurance panel.

With seven years’ of experience behind us now, and now over 230 firms using our After The Event Insurance, we’d like to think we’re now even better at what we do. However, if you think there are still ways in which we can improve upon our service, we'd love to know.
