Box Legal, founded in 2004 by former partners of Kingsford Stacey Blackwell, offers After The Event Insurance policies to law firms.

Our ATE Insurance products are designed for solicitors by solicitors. We understand the needs and concerns of PI lawyers, with our key staff each having been in practice for over 10 years, and we have tailored our insurance products with these needs in mind. All our After The Event Insurance policies therefore offer:

• Minimal reporting requirements
• Assurance that ATE policies can be cancelled at any time
• ATE Insurance Premiums that are recoverable

We now have over 230 firms on our panel taking advantage of the two After The Event Insurance products we offer.

ClaimSafe

Under our principle ‘ClaimSafe’ scheme, we arrange After The Event Insurance for Personal Injury claims, including:

• Motor Accidents (including non-PI where the special damages claim is more than £5,000, i.e. bent metal claims)
• Non-motor Accidents
• Industrial Disease Claims
• Professional Negligence resulting from a PI claim

InjurySafe

We also offer an innovative new rehabilitation ATE Insurance product having joined up in partnership with the independent rehabilitation provider Overland Health in order to offer an After The Event Insurance policy called ‘InjurySafe’ to cover the costs of rehabilitation.

• Rehabilitation, including physiotherapy, etc, can be arranged immediately with the cost being deferred until the end of the PI claim.
• The treatment cost will be recovered from the other side in a successful claim, but if for any reason it cannot be recovered in full, the cost is fully insured by the InjurySafe After The Event Insurance policy.
• So you can offer immediate treatment to clients without any risk that they will have to pay
