New Jackson Pressure Group Launched

My new treadmill has arrived! You may recall I sold the old one on eBay (bought by a couple who are going to run the London Marathon next year).

The new one has one of those chest straps which monitors your heart beat and (this is clever) can increase or decrease the hill level to keep your heart at the optimum level. I haven't tried it yet but intend to go for run this evening.

Any relevance here to Personal Injury Claims or After the Event Insurance?

Er, no. But here is the news:

A new claimant pressure group has been launched to fight the Jackson reforms. The group is called the Access to Justice Action Group (AJAG for short). Members include DAS Legal Expenses, Accident Advice Helpline, Mobile Doctors and solicitors Goldsmith Williams. Esther Rantzen is also getting in on the act. The group is chaired by former Labour MP and PI lawyer, Andrew Dismore who will hopefully have some experience of greasing the wheels of power (or at least knowledge of how to throw a spanner in the works).

The group has already accused the Government of being in bed with the defendant insurers and of them putting corporate profit ahead of providing a fair compensation system.

Watch this space for more details (and to find out how far I managed to run).
